KN12 PETTY 205mm - HEAT TREATMENT

Prior to heat treatment I coated the knife with Condursal Z1100 which is a protective anti-scaling paint. Let dry for an hour or so and placed into at 600°C (1110°F) oven.
Once at 1060°C (1940°F) I soaked it for about 15 minutes.
Directly out of the oven and into the plate quench.
Plate quench is two thick copper plates and the little carpenter's vise.
Cool to touch in less than a minute.
A quick check for curve and it looks okay!
In the tempering oven at 175°C (350°F) for two 2 hour cycles. Tempering is the opposite of hardening. We're slightly softening the steel when we temper so that it's not so brittle.

    1. Hi Clay,

The only way I know of is to contact the Duffy Company Duffy Company and ask them if they have a local distributor in your area.

      Good luck!
